Could this work for multiple ships
I was looking, and may have figured out a way to have multiple ship combat. Could make the 2 ships be 1 in terms of model, and then when a certain amount of damage has been done to rooms in one or the other, it then plays a destruction animation, and combat begins again, but with only one ship. Thoughts? I know it wouldn't allow for you to see the damage to individual ships

Nope, sorry! Not to burst your bubble, but that idea has been presented before.
A rule of FTL is that you can only fight one ship at a time. You can have the ship sprite look like multiple ships, but they have the same shared hull value.

I think you misunderstood his idea.English Narwhal wrote:Nope, sorry! Not to burst your bubble, but that idea has been presented before.

That said, I'm not entirely sure it could work - there were some problems back before AE regarding calling ships to replace previous ships. Furthermore, you'd need some very specific blueprints in order to maintain consistency.
