OK, see, I got the cutting tool worked out, I just need to know how to 'move' the parts I've cut, also for some reason I stuff it up and the 'auto' scissors move their lines into the part I want to cut, like the autopathing stuffs up or something, and I just simply want it to follow the black pixel line, can you tell me about those filters or something?

sadly not as I never used them xD

But if you want to cut a strait line, you can use the laso cut tool thing and just click from 1 end of the line to the other then continue your selection, you can also hold the click to make it a more certain shape or bend or what ever. then you should right click = edit (I think it was) then cut , do the same thing again but not cut, you do paste... and paste as new layer, that way you can move it without it being cemented to the other layer. to move, use the move selected tool (should look like a + with arrows on each line).

A tip when you save your image, click export and then export as a png. you should save it as a (xcf? what ever gimp uses) so you can return to it later as those different layers can be easier to create into gibs/

Yes, I get all of that, but the scissor auto-pathing stuffs up and goes through the part of the ship I'm trying to cut, for instance, I'm trying to get the scissor line to STAY on the black line, but it will occasionally dodge around it, I've looked in so many places and I can't fix it! :( If you are still confused, which is understandable, I am trying to cut DIAGONALLY and a bunch of different angles, I am trying to remove the cockpit of the large Auto-drone.

there is multiple tools you can cut/ select stuff with.

instead of clicking the scissor (I never use it) I use the Lasso, it should look like a lasso. O with a little wiggly line moving away from it. that is like the scisssors but without the auto. kinda.

Ok, I've tried the lasso before, there is just one thing I'm concerned about, if it is a freeform tool, does that not mean I cannot cut the part of the ship with pixel accuracy?

EDIT: I have attempted to use the lasso tool, never realized it turned to 90 degree pixel sized turns, now to accurately cut the parts of ships that I want.

EDIT 2: I know this is off topic, but wanna work on this ship mod together?

maybe, but I am quite bussy at the moment and I am to kind and can't stop saying yes to everything.

I am part of a mod group for a mod overhaul, I am trying to do my overhaul alone, I am trying to do a few test ships first to test interesting things I found, etc. And I am really bussy in real life. Not to mention I am not that good at fixing things and if you run into possible bugs/ glitches I may fail to help you. sorry. :(

I will help you as much as I can though. (1 more post and you can PM, so you do not need to make a new thread for the us two to work on it)
