Game randomly momentarily freezes occasionally?
Made a thread a few days ago saying about fullscreen crashing me, but the game randomly freezes. I can't use fullscreen as the game doesn't load when I set that, so I'm sorta confused on how to solve this. My laptop runs this game perfectly, via canirunit.

Updating video drivers is the first for the vast majority of problems. Can you also try turning on V-Sync and/or the Frame Limiter from within the Options screen?
If you check your FTL installation folder, there might be a file called "stdout.txt" that would have some logging that could help diagnose the problem. And possibly more logs in the sub-folder "crashlogs", but if it's just freezing up there's unlikely to be any crash logs.
Hope we can figure it out. Sorry about the problem!

It seems it goes to 'not responding' when it freezes. I've done the drivers, done the two settings and checked those two files. Nothing.

Can you email me a dxdiag dump? My address is zasdarq@ftlgame.com

Click on your start menu (Win7) and enter dxdiag in the search. It will find the app so just run it. It will diagnose your directx settings and compatibility. You can save this info into a file and email it.

Re: Game randomly momentarily freezes occasionally?
Hi Mays. I believe I sent you an email this morning in response to your Dxdiag dump. Did you not receive it? Replicated below:
"Sorry again about the problem. These intel integrated cards have incredibly unreliable OpenGL support with their drivers which causes a lot of headache. It looks like yours are about a year old, which might mean there's a more up to date version out there. I'd check the Dell website for a video driver update. If that doesn't help, try the Intel website directly (http://downloadcenter.intel.com/). "
I know that you've already attempted to update your drivers, but I just want to make sure you checked the right locations. It can also be helpful to uninstall your current ones before installing the most recent.
Sorry for the delay, it's the holiday season and I'm currently traveling to visit family.

It says graphics driver is up to date, if that's what you're talking about.
