Game closes on start up?

I did the tutorial some time ago, I was carried away with other games etc and forgot about FTL. I wanted to start playing it again, as I loaded it up, I went to options put fullscreen on and restarted the game, and now it won't load. It says "loading.." then automatically closes itself. Doesn't say 'not responding' or anything, just closes.

Help?

Are you using the Steam version of the game? Maybe it would help if you tried reinstalling the game, and checking to see if it's updated propery. There have been some cases of Steam corrupting game files or uploading corrupted files onto the cloud.

Yeah, the Steam version. Tried resinstalling, and it's fully updated. It worked fine before I put it in Fullscreen. I've reset my laptop too.

Go to the folder the game is installed in, it should be in SteamApps somewhere. Or do a file search for settings.ini (there will probably more than one so get the FTL one)
Once you find this file, open it with Notepad and change 'fullscreen=????' to 'fullscreen=0'

That should work, but you may need to disable Steam cloud sync to prevent Steam from restoring the old settings.ini file.

Also, it was at fullscreen=1 not ??? nevertheless, changed it and now it's working! Thank you so much.]

In my file it was fullscreen=2, so i wrote ??? because i couldn't guess what yours was set to.
