Re: Help!
Hey Chris. Sorry about the display problems.
It would help if you can post details about your comupter.
- OS: Windows (XP,Vista,Win7), Mac, Linux
- Graphics card. This is probably most important.
- Amount of RAM.
- Laptop or desktop?
It's probably caused by your GFX card not having good OpenGL support. You can try and update the drivers to see if it helps.

Re: Help!
Click on the Start button then type: devmgmt.msc in the search box. The search will find the program, all you have to do is click on it.
Look under Display Adapters. You can use google to find the latest drivers. Or try to find your model on this list.
Most of the Acer Extensa models i have googled have Intel's integrated graphics adapters (though some have ATI). These sometimes cause OpenGL problems and are not officially supported. They sometimes work, sometimes not and usually the problem is caused by Intel's or OEM drivers. Your best hope for getting FTL to run is to try different drivers. Only use drivers from official providers though.
Btw, don't be confused by things like graphics card, GFX display, display adapter, VGA adapter. They all mean the same thing.
