I play this more than any £40 game I own...

Post by MarkyBee22 »

The game is such a pleasant surprise! I was waiting for it to go onsale for months because it peaked my interest... If I had known the quality of this game before purchase I would have bought on release. I spend more time playing FTL than I have playing Black Ops II, Halo 4, NFS Most Wanted, FIFA 13, Battlefield 3.... all these big budget games have completely fallen by the wayside for me right now, FTL is that impressive a game that I think it deserves the time I spend playing it now, it's a new experience every time, and keeps me coming back for more no matter how brutally it defeats me... Reminds me a lot of Dark Souls, my favourite game from the last year.

Just wanted to say a massive thankyou to the guy/team who built this game. It's absolutely incredible and I'd happily recommend it to all my friends.

Awesome post. Welcome to the forum. :D May the brutal defeats lead you to sweet, satisfying and well-deserved victories!

I remember fondly many games that consumed hours of my life and while most were really good, only two stand above the rest. I could not, would not and did not play or think about anything else. The hooks got me through and through.

FTL and Vampire:The Masquerade - Bloodlines. And this from a guy who hates vampires. ;) Probably not even my dearest favourites, but when it comes to being completely enthralled by a game, nothing can compare to those two experiences.

I remember buying a gtx 670 recently (read: 2nd best 1 GPU graphics card on the market) and was playing all those shiny big budget graphics games. Two hours later I was like - what fun game am I gonna play now? And bam, I was playing KAG.

An absolutely amazing game, I've played it for a whole year now and finally it's close to its actual 1.0 release

Just a friendly reminder that it's fine to discuss about how FTL is more enjoyable (and addictive ) than most other games, here in the Discussion sub-forum.

However, if you want to start discussing other great games (such as KAG, which looks quite fun), feel free to create a thread in the Indie Games or General Off Topic sub-forums. Bonus: Your thread will be visible there a longer time than in the Discussion sub-forums, where threads tend to drop off the first page rather quickly. ;)
