Crystal Pod, Zoltan Scan and Rock Homeworlds

I've just found the statis pod for the first time, and as many of you know, it's a way to unlock the crystal cruiser.
After having it scanned by the Zoltans, there are NO rock homeworlds on the sector map. ( I was on sector 2, and the majority of sectors were green. )
Are rock homeworlds generated on the map if you receive the pod? Because as far as I know, it was a wild goose chase for me.

The crystal ship unlock is really hard i have gotten the rock homeworlds twice with the crystal crew member and still haven't got the unlock after 20-30 hours.
most of the time it is impossible to get the unlock you are lucky you got the scan on your first time finding the pod

here is what helps, even though there is a post somewhere with all such info, possibly even more accurate.

1 The stasis Pod can drop in ENGI sectors, ZOLTAN AND PIRATE sectors. I heard it can also "drop" in rock controlled sectors.

2 Both step 1 and 2 dont have to be in "homeworlds" a

3 for step 2 you can also find the lab ZOLTAN and in ENGI sectors

4 If you havent achieved steps 1-2 by sector five/six restart. Always check if you have red sectors at the end of the map, if not you wont find the rock homeworld so restart

5 The beacon in the Rock Homeworld usually is a star with NO events, no disturbances, no ships etc.. normal star.
