How to update the game?

Hi I bought the game from GoG because I didn't want the DRM. But now I need the updates because I saw some videos of the game updated and it seems they changed the balance of weapons to be better and some other nice stuff.
So where can I get the last updates and how to install them?

I'm also wondering how to get the updates. I bought the game from Humble Bundle and while I can use a key to get it on Steam I'd rather the stand alone version from Humble Bundle, but I don't see how I can update the Humble Bunble version. When I go back to the link where I bought it from Humble Bundle, the only option to download is the original 1.01 version.

Assistance on this matter would be appreciated.

Update 3 says the patch is available on GoG. no idea how to update though. probably just download it again.

I don't see any mention of re-balancing weapons in the patch notes though. Are you sure you weren't watching a vid about a mod? o.0

According to previously linked thread the update isn't available on humble bundle yet.

You will have to wait until it is.

Updates are first released to Steam, because Steam has an autoupdater. Only after some time, and when the update is deemed stable, it's pushed to GOG and Humble Bundle. (vide 1.02.3 which turned out to be bugged)

I guess with FTL, it's going to pay to put it into my steam account then That will be a first since many indie games that I buy I always try to buy them from non big distributors so that the developers get the most money from the sale and it usually means that the update hits to those places first. Oh well, I do have the option of putting it on Steam and going with the flow so I guess that's what I'll do then.

Guys, just read the update notes. The changes are very minor. Unless you're already affected by some bug, you probably won't even notice.

Doesn't much matter to me, I'm one of those anal guys that has to have my software and games updated regardless if it's only a bug fix or a major expansion. Just the way that I've always been with regards to computers and software since the late 70's.

I can't find it anywhere in GoG and my internet is taking a huge dump some days and downloads files and works real slow...This is why I preferd having no DRM
So I will need to redownload the game?
Also I don't know if that's a mod, but I remember reading that the laser burst mk2 weapon does 2 damage per laser and in my 1.01 version it only does 1 per laser?

If you go into your gog account and select ftl, there should be a patch right below the game download. It just barely went live.
