Game randomly quits to desktop.

Two or three times now, I've been playing and the game just disappears. Quits completely. Instantaneous, no error message, no indication that anything's going wrong beforehand. I'll be playing, and then I won't be. There doesn't appear to be any pattern to how long it takes for this to happen, it's been anywhere from 5 minutes to over an hour.

My specs are as follows:

AMD Athlon x2 6400+ dual-core processor
Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS g92 512mb
4 gb DDR2 800
Microsoft Windows XP Professional 32bit

Can you look in your FTL installation folder for logging? There should be a file named "stdout.txt" as well as some files in a folder called "crashlogs." If you email any of those that you have along with a dxdiag dump of your computer then hopefully we can figure out what's causing the problem.

In the meantime, turning on V-Sync from within the options, or the Frame Limiter, has been known to help.
