[MOD]Faster Than Dubstep

Post by Fulminis »

---------ABOUT---------
So.. i was messing at the FTL files and i found some soundtrack files and though i could change the soundtrack but it didn't worked so i learnt how to make a soundtrack mod and here we go.. now developing a mod for that!
It's not only dubstep! theres other genres too.. like melodic dubstep or orchestral dubstep and others...
Not compatible with mods that adds sector and change them for example: CE
I will make it compatible for CE and CE Infinite since i use them.. maybe other mods too we will see.
At the xml file the tracklist and file names are the same from the default one to prevent even more bugs and glitches.. but theres a comment line at the end of each file names with the song name! (not very accurate i actually just made the comments so i could know what was already used)
PS: The mod is completed but not realised! for i'm taking a break testing it with other mods to see a good load order with them.
---------TRACKLISTS---------
You can see the tracklist at the xml file and on SMM! However i'm just listing it here..

Why you made this shit??
well i don't really know i just wanted to change the soundtrack for ME but i'm making this mod incase someone wants to use it or look at it's source so they can do a copy of it or just look how it looks like to make a soundtrack mod.
I accept suggestions of music changing if you have awesome tracks you want to replace it others i'll look at it and if i think the changing is really good i can make a update for it.. BUT if you really want to replace it i can do a mini tutorial of how to replace the songs so you can do it yourself because i don't have time to make a different mod for each person!

When it will be realised???
Maybe tomorrow or so...
When it will be CE and CE Infinite compatible??
I don't really have a time for it... i have to see how hard it would be first so i could work on it! (If it's really simple i can launch it with the mod!)

For a second, I thought someone was going to create a ship that would have been using dubstep as a weapon.
You know, you could have a beam that provides that constant grinding sound while a bunch of lasers provide the "wubs" on auto fire...

But I suppose a soundtrack change/addition is an awesome idea. Although the copyright strikes on Youtube will be enormous if someone were to record a game.

Oh damn great idea there.. i'm of course looking at it and see if i can get a Dubstep Ship to work..

And yes.. :( sadly.. but most of those aren't copyrighted maybe the ones from Virtual Riot, Instrumental Core and Excision are.

Sounds like a plan. But perhaps look into using only tracks that won't immediately strike up a copyright notice... or provide a second version that's "YouTube friendly" like Captain's Edition does.
