I noticed that whenever you get the madman or rescue someone stranded on a planet he is always named Charlie, is this an easter egg or just a rare coincidence?

"Charlie X" an episode of Star Trek TOS that had a kid with super powers that was stranded on an alien world. Enterprise rescues him and he almost destroys the ship. I was scared when this happened as I figured he was going to blow my ship up at some point (or at least try), but that was before I looked behind the curtain at the code.

Crewmembers with specific names are implemented on a few different events.
In one event (something related to a science station) you can save a scientist and have him join your crew, he will always have the name 'Dr. Jones'.

Doubt these are actually worth being considered Easter Eggs.
