I have been playing FTL without any issues, until today.
This morning I received a bunch of pushed OS updates, and now FTL crashes.
With this error:
Code: Select all
Loading Arch = amd64
Initializing Crash Catcher...
Initializing Video
Base Init failed!
Any ideas?

Can you look at the bottom of /var/log/apt/history.log and copy the list of packages that were updated recently?

Fixed , apparently the libgl1 libraries conflicted with my nvidia install.
I re-installed the nvidia drivers and it works again.
Code: Select all

Upgrade: libdbus-1-3 (1.2.16-2ubuntu4.3, 1.2.16-2ubuntu4.5), libgl1-mesa-dev (7.7.1-1ubuntu3, 7.7.1-1ubuntu3.1), libgl1-mesa-dri (7.7.1-1ubuntu3, 7.7.1-1ubuntu3.1), libgl1-mesa-glx (7.7.1-1ubuntu3, 7.7.1-1ubuntu3.1), mesa-common-dev (7.7.1-1ubuntu3, 7.7.1-1ubuntu3.1), dbus (1.2.16-2ubuntu4.3, 1.2.16-2ubuntu4.5), python-qt4 (4.7.2-0ubuntu1, 4.7.2-0ubuntu1.1), libglu1-mesa (7.7.1-1ubuntu3, 7.7.1-1ubuntu3.1), dbus-x11 (1.2.16-2ubuntu4.3, 1.2.16-2ubuntu4.5)

Good to hear that. Can you add [FIXED] to your thread title?

Can you ask a vet to fix you?
