Re: weird crash bug
Man I really like this game except I have the same issue. Using Steam, and randomly the game just closes with no error. I wouldn;t mind so much except that you can;t save your game. I had the game crash out about 5 times tonight. once I made it all the way to the final conflict and it just exited out with no error.. Anyone got any suggestions for a fix?

As ParanoikCZE suggested, please look for crashlogs in the folder inside FTL's installation folder. Email any along with a dxdiag dump to zasdarq@ftlgame.com. Sorry about the crashes.

Re: weird crash bug
Mine keeps crashing without anything in crashlogs. It just stops responding. It has happened once in a while since I bought it, but today I have started 2 games and both did it. I am running the steam version in windowed mode. Is there a command-line switch or something I need to turn on for crashlogs?Matthew wrote:As ParanoikCZE suggested, please look for crashlogs in the folder inside FTL's installation folder. Is there anything in the stdout.txt and stderr.txt files that you can find in the game directory?

Re: weird crash bug
honsetly. I can;t find any logs. can;t even find the install directory. the shortcut on the desktop reveals the directory as steam:\ which obviously does not exist. when I do a windows search for FTL all I get is the shortcut. and when I do a windows search for crashlog it also comes up empty. so unless you know the name of the file, the extension, or a possible name of a directy where it might reside I can;t provide logs.Matthew wrote:As ParanoikCZE suggested, please look for crashlogs in the folder inside FTL's installation folder. when I do a windows search for stdout.txt, or stderr.txt they do not exist on my computer.. does this mean there are no crash logs?
