[SHIP][WIP]The Missile [AE]

Short Introduction :
Hello ! I've recently gotten back into FTL after a while of not playing it, and to make the fun last longer, I decided to look up if mods were a possibility. To my surprise, this was insanely true. So I tried some stuff, new ships, graphical stuff, ect.
Eventually, I started trying out SuperLuminal, to make/edit my own and others' ships.


Atm, FTL crashes when I load the ship in the hangar, and I'm having trouble figuring out why, I'd love some help in understanding this.

Here is my first ship : The Missile

It's got a couple of early offensive advantages, such as level 4 engines and such, but comes with a major downside, you only have 10 hull points ! Thus the name, The Missile.
Fast,
Fragile, Powerful.

Description :
This fragile "ship" was actually an Interplanetary Missile designed by the Old Federation, before FTL travel was invented.
Reformatted to look like a slug ship, it's still a glass cannon at heart, if glass was galvanized steel.

I'm trying to make this a slightly difficult, but not frustrating, ship. Please give me feedback on this, I'm still testing it !
(Actually, atm, I'm having a problem testing, it seems to crash when I select it in the hangar, and I haven't figured out why.)

I dunno about the crashing part but I'm not too sure about the fact it resembles a Slug ship in design. I mean why would the Federation turn an interplanetary "missile" into a Slug ship? Why not something like the Osprey without the engine nacelles (or they're directly behind it for the true rocket effect?)

Perhaps a redesign of the layout might solve the crashing issue. If you're using Superluminal, keep in mind that it's a real bitch when it comes to room images. Maybe it's messed with the code itself and making the ship not work.

I'd check it out for myself and perhaps find the problem but I don't have access to FTL for a good part of the day.

As far as why is the ship crashing :
Stylesrj is right about that : I took the liberty to remove the irregular rooms :

As you can see it works. Did some other stuff in the pic as well...

So here's my two cents :
1.) Remove the irregular room sizes
2.) Make sure you align your glows with the actual terminals. And the manning direction. (doors !)
3.) Set your weapons mounts to actually be on your ship. They are now set to be waaaaay of screen.
4.) Assign a room for every system. See below. Superluminal allows you to easily check that.
5.) Assigning starting drone schematics to a ship not starting with drone control is pointless. The schematics are not moved to your hold.

7.) Just a personal nuisance of mine, but artillery is using an interior image from cloaking. Simply rotating an interior image (and saving it somewhere else) can give you access to a lot more images. Turn a 2x1 interior image into a 1x2 for example. Or make it so a terminal isn't in front of a door or something... Again, just an issue I have, feel free to ignore me on this one.

Systems missing a room assigned to it :
Medbay/Clonebay (can double assign a room for that)
Sensors
Cloaking
Drones control
Teleporter

Not assigning rooms for those means players will loose their scrap if they try to buy it without getting the system. Either assign a room for it, or remove the systems from showing up in a store.
