Making Floors and packing ships together

Hey, just recently got back into the mod side of FTl, and I was wondering about how these awesome shipmaking guys make the floors that they use. I am willing to use any program and such that others use, and it would be a real help if you guys replied soon.
One More thing, when I do figure this floor buisness out, how to you pack two ship files together once you create them?

There's a program called Superluminal which is used to make the ships and floor layouts. It's rather brilliant (although when it makes a floor layout, you need to slide it a few pixels so it fits properly)

As for saving them together, you take the ship files from one .ftl file, move them to another then add the blueprint of the ship to the blueprints.xml file of the other. Don't copy that file directly
