Which ship did you find the easiest to Unlock?

For me it was the Rock cruiser, on my first full playthrough. I encountered the trigger late in the game, so the ensuing task was pretty easy. The Stealth Cruiser was as close second, gotten in the very same playthrough.

I've yet to pick up the Mantis, Slug, Zoltan or Mystery Cruiser.

Stealth was by far the easiest, I still haven't gotten the rock or the mystery cruiser. I know how to get the MC and it is without a doubt the hardest.

Stealth I got my second play through where I made it all the way to sector 5.

Almost got the mystery cruiser, except the rock homeworlds didn't show up. For me it was the Torus. Getting to 5 wasn't that hard, did it my first game. Got the stealth not long after that.

Definitely the Torus for me. The alternate layouts seem the hardest to unlock so far.

Torus. There is no random variable to get it

For some reason, I have every ship except Stealth and Slug (and rock type B, since rock ships are really hard to play and the achievements are pretty difficult)

Engi of course. And kestrel B second place. But maybe i think those are easiest because i got the engi ship and the 1HP achievement on my first game (without even trying the 1 hp ach).

Torus almost doesn't count, Federation too. Of the harder to get ships, the Rockman and Engi cruisers only require race specific crewmembers and that the next sector ISN'T the last stand. The Mantis cruiser requires some upgrades that may not be in line with your current playstyle. All i can say without spoiling is that you should play like a Mantis to get their cruiser. That's all i unlocked so far.

Of the B types, the Engi and Mantis are easiest (that i know). Engi can unlock 1st achievement in the 1st encounter, and then all you need is to find a third drone and upgrade the system to support it. Playing the Mantis cruiser should get you 20 boarding victories within limits easily, and it's also very easy to beam over your entire crew onto the enemy ship to unlock the second achievement and the B type. Which incidentaly will be seriously tough in the eraly running but absolutely brutal in strength should you survive sectors 1 and 2.

I unlocked the Engi ship without even realising it.

Assuming Engi ship doesn't count, my first unlocked ship was the Stealth, completely by accident. Then I got home and decided to switch to my main computer and the Stealth ended up one of the last ships I got. As it stands now, the only ship I'm missing is the Rock one.

Well, apart from engi (obviously), for me it was...the fed cruiser. Yes, I beat the game before I found any more ships.
