I started playing yesterday, and got hooked. I wished the game was more open, but I am sure that will come along the way - I also get some serious Star Control II vibes from this game (which is awesome).
Anyways, I thought I might have a go at some pixel graphics which fit the game. If you're up for it, I would love some help implementing this ship into the game. I am still working on the shading, so I just wanted to see if there's a general interest.
I'm no 'Trek expert, but if I'm not mistaken isn't that the Enterprise NX-01? I thought the NCC-1701-D was from TNG and Piccard's stint as captain? /nerd
Either way it looks pretty good for a start. I like that follows the same sprite-look as FTL's ships. As far as room layouts go, you're mostly looking at text-editing with Blueprints.xml and whatever ship you decide to replace to implement this one.

Uhm I suppose we could ^^ i put my LCARs on hold atm and playing around with making a bird of prey as both enemy and playship next though might be a while till im done due to exams next week
I've been working on fleshing out the ship, and learning the stucture of the xml + text ship files. The only thing I am missing for the ship now, is the doors - which are kind of a pain in the ass
