Ship can be damaged by beams while FTL jump animation plays

Then ship jumps and camera zooms out - enemy can damage ship with beam weapons. VERY bad if you play with stealth cruiser.

Solar flares can hit you during this period too.
I think it's by design.

Justin and I will discuss it. It's come up a few times, I don't remember if the current system was by design or just a side effect of beams always hitting (or both). Always worth re-considering, but... sorry, not particularly high on the list of priorities at the moment

This can be hand-waved away by how the tech in the game works (maybe). Your ship still exists in both places and is still affected by events in both locations until the jump is completed.

Just got hit then jumping on zoltan cruiser and got -1 zoltan shield, 4/5 on arrival to new system - sounds like a bug

Vind, that's a separate bug that I'm fixing. The Zoltan Shield will repower after the jump completes even if damaged in that way
