Hello FTL modding community!
i'm proud to announce my first mod, The Retribution is ready for testing!
The Retribution is a re-textured federation cruiser, the main difference with this ship is it does not have artillery, instead it has cloak.
i'm in the process of balancing it, and would appreciate if some people could give me feedback on it.
the ship itself is complete, but the gigs are still from standard the standard federation cruiser.
i will post screenshots soon!

Re: [WIP][SHIP] The Retribution
My only issue with this mod is that it has the same name as a fairly well known ship- Kieve's Obsidian Cruiser- The Retribution.

No issues here, I'm just amused more than anything.English Narwhal wrote:My only issue with this mod is that it has the same name as a fairly well known ship- Kieve's Obsidian Cruiser- The Retribution.

@xlander - when you post a link, try using the tags, makes it much easier for people ... l]Download
EDIT: also... why are your ship's files named "Screen Shot 2014-01-24 at 8.13.39 PM" ? I haven't tested it yet so I can't say if it works correctly, but I'd strongly suggest a simpler and more accurate file naming convention, like "xlan_fedDARK" or somesuch. People don't need to dig around in the raw files like they used to, but it's still helpful when you come across a mod's assets to know whose they are and where they came from.

LOL I totally didn't realize the obsidian cruiser was called that.
In not exactly sure how to use the [url] tags.
The name is really weird because I was editing a screenshot and I didn't save as some thing else.
The mod does work though.
I am really new to modding so any helpful pointers would be nice

Yeah, BBCode can be a b ... lick here!
Basically (excluding quotes):
- Write "[url="
- Paste your URL, making sure there is no "/" at the very end.
- Write "]" followed by your soon-to-be-clickable text.
- Write "[/url]" after your desired text.[/code]
That code is then formatted by the board to look like this: Click here!
By the way links should automatically be formatted to be clicked on if you just paste them outright, like this:
http://www.weavesilk.com/
The reason why it didn't work in your first post is because, unfortunately, there was a colon right before the link! Look at how this link doesn't work:
---> :http://www.weavesilk.com/
I hope that clears it enough..! Anyway if you have doubts on particular BBCode tags you can quote posts of people that used that particular stuff and check their code out! : ) Or ask google, that works too. :P
