Looking for users to assist in an Engi Conversion Mod

I'm creating a mod that will convert the game to a Engi based storyline. I aim to add more Engi based drones and weapons. I shall elaborate if needed.

It is needed.


The longer version of that is, we don't know you or what you can do. You've given no evidence you even know how to mod the game, no indication that you understand the work involved, and nothing in your very short post that would entice knowledgeable or capable members of this community to assist you.

I say that not to be mean, but to state the reality of the situation - no one will join your project unless they have a clear idea of what it is about, and more importantly what you can bring to the table already. If you have skills as a writer, demonstrate that you can. If you know about events, try modding in a few of your own to show us. If you can make ships and weapons, or drones, show that as well. It doesn't have to be a released mod, but at least evidence that you're planning to do more than "administrate" the project and crack a metaphorical whip while others do the actual work for you.

That and damnit, I was planning on being original with my Engi Brigade (conversion) mod. Oh well.
If we know more about you and/or your skills perhaps we can work together on the mod I am working on.
The only downside is I already got the hull and room layout of every player ship at the moment so It means you can't do your own thing about making those.

We could also work together for sometime then we duplicate the mod and 1 gets a modified one (eg with non of the player ships in or non of the weapons/ drones, etc, no new events.)

But I would still like to know what you can and can't do.

I'd like to give a +1 to Kieve's post. He's explained how many of us feel in a coherent, articulate manner with far more tact than I would have replied with.

I'd like this to be put into the modding sticky, so anyone who asks for modders to help work on a project would know what we'd require, and our expected response.
