This next here is just a hypothetical story of a what if situation. I don't know if this ever happen to anyone, but since this is a fiction, and if it happens to you, well my condolences....
This is how the story would goes:
Captain's log: we've lucked out enough to reach sector 6, my 2 crew of Mantises outlive their previous Rock Captain. Out of missile and with barely enough weapon to penetrate enemy's shield system, we decided to go all out to board the next ship. Hopefully our upgraded cockpit can steer themselves out of harm's way without a pilot on board.
The enemies in sight. We immediately jump into their weapon system, neglecting the enemy's movement toward their own teleport station right next door. We continue our assault on the weapon system, hoping that we might damage it enough to stop their ship bombardment. Not like we can do anything much with the enemy crew on our deck. Our own teleport is such a basic model it we need to survive long here to let it recharge, and the lesser enemies on their deck the higher chances we have there. And without any doors out of the Rock ship we cannot space them out either.
Meanwhile the report from our ship's computer are chiming in. Their darn Rockman have totalled our teleportation, ruling out our way out of the ship. Frantic and enraged, our Mantises charged to the Engi on their way to fix the weapon bay. Without med bay on board, they go down soon enough. While our enemies still roam freely in our ship without resistance, we went for their transport instead. Few hits, and they are out of the way and we need not to fight them on their way back. While doing so, we circle around in their ship to find any survivors, but found none in sight. While the enemies are doing the same thing in our ship. We take command of their ship, but can't return to our own. Same thing happen with them. Our boarding crew decided to do the last thing to ensure victory. Remotely shutting down our own life support system. We previously thought to sustain the life support system so that we can run quickly to the med bay without suffocating if things gets ugly when boarding. With our teleport station damaged, there's nothing we can do now. We can clearly see from our remote camera of their dying breath. Not long afterward our ship computer sends in messages of all clear in our ship. We are victorious. But their ship controls are in Greek to us. Repairing it won't do us no good. We're stranded in enemy's ship without anyway to go. Like the brave Mantis before them, is they should die, they would die gloriously. They started to hack away at the life support system, leaving two brave husk of lifeless ship in space for anyone historian to ponder.

Re: Hypothetical Situation : Boarding Stalemate
I wonder if the game handles that situation the same way it handles a situation where you've won a boarding battle but have no way of getting back or repairing your teleporter...araisikewai wrote:This next here is just a hypothetical story of a what if situation.
