Now, I'm not one normally to celebrate achievements, or to farm them, but for some reason my obsession with FTL has led to trying to get them all.
To be honest, I haven't tried Boarding Objective Complete, and that's one I reckon I'd have to farm (do healing bursts work on robots, or am I gonna have to soften the crew up otherwise first), but I've somehow ended up with all the others, except one.
Clash of the Titans.
It seems it's easier to have back-to-back 6000+ point runs than to destroy 15 rock ships in a run. I reckon you need 3 Rock sectors to guarantee that number. Any hints?
Any other achievements that have caused headaches?

I am still missing the boarding drone one and the rocks getting to crystal one. I suspect I'll never get either.
Though, I've found that if you can make a lot of hull breaches the enemy tends to give up fixing them when they're at about 10 health. If you were to fire a boarding drone into a ship with 6 or so crew, all at 10 health each, that drone could probably decimate them.

Re: Boarding Objective, I think my Mantises softened up the crew for the boarding drone, but I don't remember exactly what happened. I don't think I was trying for the achievement, had to retrieve my Mantises due to low health, the boarding drone finished the crew off, and the objective popped up.

Yeah for the boarding drone definitely weaken the crew with boarders and then let the boarding drone finish them off.
Clash of the titans is very luck based. You need a lot of rock sectors. Remember that you have to destroy the ships. It doesn't count if you finish off all their crew to beat them. At least rock ships manned by pirates count. So, if you have a choice between a non-rock sector but there's a pirate sector might as well take that one.

If you want Boarding Objective, Breach Bombs are helpful - enemy crew will try to repair breaches, but run when their health drops low. Preparing with living boarders is of course possible, but fiddlier.
