[SHIP] Swordfish II [dev. thread]

Hello all, I've decided to start making a ship from scratch(-ish), and if you are a cowboy bebop fan you will have been drawn to the title especially fast.

That's right, I'm making the ever so awesome Swordfish II!

Thing is, I need a bit of help. My graphic design skills are poor, (I found the image on google and tweaked it). I need help with two things.

firstly, the shield. I can't figure out how to make it look like the shields in game. Secondly, gibs. I know I would not be good at designing the broken bits of the hill so they look good, but I know where I want them. I'd like the read engine, wings, and cockpit to split up when destroyed. (I can probably figure out the animation in superluminal myself.

So, if you could give me a hand with these areas that would be amazing. I am working on the interior now, and will choose some weapons and starting stats that fit it based on the series (although I'm a bit rusty :P)

So, here is an image of the layout so far, and the starting shield image. this ship is designed to be a two man crew.

Pics are fine on my computer.

I was never a fan of Cowboy Bebop, but the shields will always be an ovoid shape set by the ellipse settings. You can have a shield graphic that's different in shape, though.

Draw me a crude paint diagram of the gib pattern (make it black/white and trace like, a red line over the 'fault lines' of your ship), and I'll draw the gibs up for you. You'll need to plug them in yourself in Superluminal.
