FTL Can't open

Whenever i open ftl it instantly crashes and it either says "Application load error P:0000065432" or "Faster than light failed to start (error code 80)" I've tried reinstalling the game multiple times and tried deleting all the files that relate to ftl then installing it.

Is it a Steam error? It seems people receive it randomly for a number of games. Most of the Steam errors (including Error 80) will go away with a restart of Steam and/or your computer. You can also click on Steam in the top bar of your Steam window and select "Check for Steam Client Updates" to make sure Steam is up to date.

Someone on the Steam forums also found success by deleting ClientRegistry.blob from the Steam folder, but I can't necessarily say that's a good idea (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/s ... ?t=2815746)

Someone else said they got it to work by running the game as an admin. Just navigate to the FTL installation and right click on FTLGame.exe and select "Run as Admin" (http://steamcommunity.com/discussions/f ... 560512352/)

If you still can't get it to work, you might want to contact Steam support since they would have a better idea of what the error actually means.
