Hi there, I've had a few weird problems after applying the patch. Previously running 1.02. It only exists when installing the game from Humble.
Steam version works fine on same machine
It could be I was running mod manager (running extra-name and detailed background mods), but it persisted after I deactivated all the mods.
Uploaded a few images:

Both images show weird darkening when doors are opened, instead of the red grid that was added.

This is a minor issue where the ship's name is small.
Again, no problems on Steam. Could be corrupt file on Humble?

Re: Strange graphical issues in Humble install
Or maybe a corrupt data file due to the way the Mod Manager (does not) work after a game upgrade?
Have you seen this thread? http://www.ftlgame.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=9978
Have you tried to fully reinstall the Humble version: remove it, make sure all files are removed in C:\Program Files\FTL (or wherever the Humble version was installed), and then install the new version.
(By the way, what operating system do you use, and what graphics card do you have? Always good to tell.)

It could be related to this problem: http://www.ftlgame.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=9978
Since you used mods on the HB version it's possible GMM is re-introducing old files into the game. This is not possible in the Steam managed version. Try deleting those files, then running GMM again to have it backup the latest version of .dat files.

Re: Strange graphical issues in Humble install
The info from the above thread didn't work I'm afraid.
Previously I tried uninstall/reinstall several times to no effect. This time I deleted everything in the Programfiles/FTL folder. Same problem.
Anyway, I have an Acer Aspire V3-571G notebook. Windows 7 64 bit running an NVIDIA Geforce GT 630M

Re: Strange graphical issues in Humble install
That issue with the small name is definitely caused by mods not behaving well with the update. The grid not functioning could be explained by the same issue. The ship name font and the grid are resources that were altered/new and packed into our resource.dat file, which the mod manager incorrectly updates. Those threads really should have fixed the problem. You can try taking the resource.dat file from the Steam installation and putting it into your Humble install folder, since that file should be the culprit.

Having same problems, except that I don't have a spare resource.dat file. Can anyone help?

Re: Strange graphical issues in Humble install
Maybe remove everything related to mods, uninstall the game, make sure the FTL folder is gone, and then reinstall the game?
Your game progress is stored separately (see this thread: http://www.ftlgame.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1892), and should be unaffected by the reinstall. You can make a copy just in case.

Re: Strange graphical issues in Humble install
Oh no, I know all of my game progress (prof.sav) is saved somewhere else. I did do five (5) clean re-installs, removed the FTL folder every single time, but still no luck. I have NO idea where the old code is being injected from. I'm starting to believe there are some hidden hidden or some unknown files that are not removed during uninstall.
Or that the prof.sav file is corrupted, but that shouldn't have anything to do with old code, right?

Re: Strange graphical issues in Humble install
Looks like my "hidden hidden" files assumption was correct. I installed FTL in a new directory, and all the graphical glitches disappeared.
Hm... strange.
