If you are flying the Potential, it isn't compatible with CE. This ship crashes when anything tries to decrease your available reactor power, like ion storms or combat augments.
If this specific jump isn't a nebula, then the problem is likely something else.

I made a file once to make high reactor more compatible with custom events. I think this is up to date and working. You should probably try backing up your save anyway, if you're going to try to mod with it active.

And don't mind the thread it's in, it will only modify that ship if it finds it, and it adds a bunch of other fixes to events by looking for things that mess with the reactor and deleting them.
Two small bugs. The first I documented well and the second I barely remember.
1. If you're out of fuel and use the drone production device, you end up making missiles instead of drones. (I had no missile production augment)

2. (details a bit hazy) I think this is a possible outcome if you kill all crew on one of the enemy ships, you get a message saying that you found a drone schematic on board after a thorough search, but the game doesn't actually award you any drone schematic. I think normal loot is given, instead. This happened twice to me.

You're Running a Version of FTL prior to the AE Update (Hard Mode and AE Toggle are missing, Only Type A and B buttons can be seen), If you got the Game from Steam, GOG or Humble Bundle, update your game first then re-install CE using the Instructions from the Mod Page.

Given what I've done while others were not active, I can now say that I've polished the Polish Kit. Release coming soon, but not from me.
Other than CE and it's required components, currently installed are the artillery crash fix, the Portrait Patch, the Pursuit Indicator, and the Random Flagship mod.
A few days ago, I also have the above mods with the Endless Loot, the mod that makes the game kinda endless, and all of its requirements installed, which I then removed to see if it fixes the issue.
