Is it possible Windows automatically updated some driver or another between the time it worked and now doesn't? Or did you play some other game in-between that hijacked your sound settings?

Can anyone experiencing this please check the contents of the file 'stdout.txt' within FTL's installation folder?
Changes to your sound drivers or other automatic Windows updates would be the most likely culprit, especially if it was working acceptably at one point.

From that it looks like everything is working. The problem may be OpenGL support. Many drivers have minimal/poor OpenGL support and that causes issues sometimes. The devs will have to take a look into this.
