Seeing if a mod exsist already?

I'm not a modder, I am not a programmer or anything of the sort. I really like the game. It is beautiful and incredible. I finally was able to beat the game. Unlocking ships and achievements are great. But I am wondering if there exsist some sort of free roam mod. Im not looking for something that drastically change the game. But just ability to go back and explore other sectors when the game is completed. I just finally had a good layout and much time put into my ship just to have it disappear when you finally beat it with no ability to load the save game again. I just want to have it continue after the final battle with the flag ship.

There is no "go back" mod but there are two that remove the rebel fleet, so you can explore every sector fully.

The first is Disable Rebel Fleet. It does just what the package says. However, it also causes your ship to get WAY MORE POWERFUL than anything you face, which gets pretty boring.

Infinite Space removes the rebel fleet advance and also the sector restriction. It also adds some pretty strong enemies to face because your ship will quickly max out its abilities. It's more fun but still, you tend to either die quickly or get an OP ship that destroys everybody.
