And custom skins for crew members would be awesome! Scouts for humans, tyranids for mantis, servants for engi and Space Marines for Rockmen, for example.

I'm a bit disappointed I didn't finish this. Strongly considering fleshing this out to at the very least reskin everything to the warhammer 40k universe. The idea of appropriate ships and races is nothing short of awesome to me.
