I've heard of it, never played though. Don't know much if anything about it. Isn't it a first person survival horror game, kind of like Aliens?

Wanting someone else to do your mod is among the most sure ways to never have your mod get made. You should do it yourself!

It's true what 5th horseman said.

With all the tools available so far (superluminal, spellchecker, weapon creator etc...), modding FTL is incredibly easy to get into.
Combining that with the fact that you can get a quick and polite awnser to any questions you may have, there isn't anything stopping you.
Beside, you said it yourself, it's easy.

Played DS 1 and 2 myself, great games.
Stomp, stomp, stomp... so many boxes to smash.

You should try making one yourself in gimp. It's pretty fun to learn how to make ships.
