Idea help

I'm trying to come up with a new ship idea, but so far all I've got is "has ions that do personnel damage". Anything you guys would like to add?

Maybe a gun that can start fires or cause a hull breach. In my Christmas Mod, I've constructed the Santasprey with that approach. If your ship can survive long enough, it fires a beam that sweeps through all the shields, starts fires and breaches the hull of the enemy ship.

A bit overpowered but hey, it's Christmas.

Make a thingy that does high stun, and med-high breach and fire.

Not a 100% chance at fire or breach but just enough to happen often to make a fire one time and a breach another (or the rare chance of both)

Maybe do a healing beam that has a chance to breach or damages systems (on a ship with no med bay but a teleporter? ;) )

Idk, I have so many weird ideas that I'll never do anytime soon

Healing beams don't work, I tried that once :(

@topic
Perhaps something like the weapons of my Auto-Cruiser layout B? Most modded ships are always about one powerful weapon that rips enemies apart, or one custom, main weapon with supplementary vanilla weapons... But there are relatively few ships that have a full loadout of several low-power, gimmicky weapons, that individually are weak, but combining them allows you to break through your foe's defences.
