One fateful dual between the Rebellion fleet and the last standing Kestrel led tragedy. All hope was lost for the Federation until a Rockman Scrapper took its parts and built a super ship. Maybe the Federation now has a chance.
This ship replaces Kestrel A
Hangar Image: http://i.imgur.com/paWGYIy.png
Ship Difficulty: Moderate (Good ship for new players)
Images used: Splices of Kestrel A, Stealth A, Mantis B, and Rock A.
Crew: Human, Human, Rock
Starting Weapons: (4 max)
Dual Lasers
Dual Lasers
Drones: (3 max)
None
Installed Systems/Subsystems
L2 Pilot
L1 Sensors
L1 Doors
L1 O2
L1 Medbay
L3 Weapons
L3 Engines
L2 Shields (1 Shield)
Possible Systems/Substystems:
Hacking
Drone Control
Mind Control
Cloaking
Teleporter
Hull: 30
Reactor: 5
Strategies: (Notice: These strategies are just basic ideas of things to do.)
1- Upgrade that Reactor ASAP! Due to low Reactor, you might want to up it a bar or 2 quickly if you don't want to deal with Power Struggles
2. Don't trade in your Dual Lasers! I've managed Multiple Successful Runthroughs without ever trading in my default weps.
3. Don't waste money upgrading the Piloting or Sensors, they come at a good start. Instead, upgrade your doors.
4. there's one sliver of rooms not connected any where else than the engines. Try to drag invaders in there to trap them as there are no systems/subsystems that they can pound on.
5. There is no Clone bay or Extra Battery, so DO NOT buy these if they pop up in shops (They Shouldn't, if they do, let me know)
Known Bugs:
No Hangar Select image
Engines + the 3-room rooms are a bit derpy
So, let me know how you like the ship! Tell me what you think of it and if I should change anything. If another ship is called Mockingbird, Pls don't rage, I don't know any other ships called that.

[Ship] The Mockingbird (Sorta WIP)
As long as it's explodable, you got it.
Re: [Ship] The Mockingbird (Sorta WIP)
Sorry to rain on your parade, but you might want to vastly improve the hull image before making this a ship mod. None of the colors match and don't have a smooth transition, you've just rectangle selected most of the pieces here and plopped them on top of the kestrel hull before finally scaling the image up so much it looks blurry. I'm not trying to be harsh here, but it looks like you put about 10 percent effort into making it. If it's mostly because you don't have a good paint software then Gimp is an excellent free program to use, although photoshop gives you a larger selection of tools at your disposal.

I do not want to rain on your parade of raining parades but a ship doesn't need to be a unison matching colour.theDoomBox wrote:Sorry to rain on your parade, but you might want to vastly improve the hull image before making this a ship mod. however the other points you raised are still a problem.

Hmm.. I'll see if I can make the ship a bit nicer looking. Thank you for sending me that link, I do not have good paint softwaretheDoomBox wrote:Sorry to rain on your parade, but you might want to vastly improve the hull image before making this a ship mod. I thought Dry Eagle ever made reskins of normal ships and in 1 case flipping the ship 180 degrees around.theDoomBox wrote:Always glad to see more people making mods, the more the merrierTMDstudio wrote:Hmm.. I would also recommend checking out some of TaxiService's custom ships when you decide to start making non spliced ships and DryEagle's ships as prime examples of creative original works.
