Is it possible to create a new augment that behaves like another except it's better/worse?
For example let's say you have Rock Plating. 15% chance of avoiding damage. I want to create "Super Rock Plating" that does the same thing except it avoids 90% of the damage. But I don't want all Rock Plating to be like it.
Judging by how it works in Captain's Edition (you have to stack them up to 75% for titanium casing or rock plating) I doubt it's possible to duplicate augments but I want to know for certain.

Nope - you can't have two augments of the same type, but with effects of different magnitude simultaneously in the game.

Re: [QUESTION] Augmentation Duplication
I see. Then again if it was possible, we'd probably see it on Endless Loot as an option for augments.
There goes my plans for an invulnerable ship. I mean I could still do it but Rock sectors would be a pain considering the only option would be to suffocate the crew or just shoot them until they die. That's why I haven't made a mod like that (or anyone really for that matter.)
And if casing was 100% as well, Captain's Edition would also be a lot harder as some ships use both (like the Flagship)
