Those new stealth ships look nice. I'll see if I can get the zoltan A done this weekend. I'm done with the layout and still need to make all the little greebles.


Btw. making all greeble images for the randomised layouts will not work correctly. this is because the image becomes transparent during a cloak as well as the floors above it. This will likely get in the way of properly seeing what goes on in the floors because greebles will get in the way.

Mashed up Engi A and C to get a B variant. Would need some minor adjustments to work with the non-CE room layout, which added the artillery room on the upper right.

Hmm.. I guess I should voice an input on this given that it's picked up some significant pace. At least for the ones being made at the moment, my concern is that the greebles are too many in terms of how much of the ship that they cover. Looking back and forth between the original image on the OP and something like the FedB design just posted, the difference in the greeble mass seems quite prominent, and I do have some concerns as to which would look more pleasing in-game.

I edit these with helper layers that show hull and rooms to create interactions with rooms and keep track of overall greeble mass. I don't see the greeble mass shift to be that great in Fed B. I basically left the engines completely ungreebled and instead explored the whole artillery section.

Slug C done, six ships to go if I count right. LordTrilobite, do you have an indea/concept for the crystals?

My bad, Mixed that up. That was Slug B actually.
Lanius B is done too. Only the Zoltan and Crystal sets are left now, right?

Yeah, just the Zoltan and Crystal sets!

For interior Crystal greebles, I'd really like to see some little crystal "flower-like" growths in the steel.

Care to draw up a draft or provide pictures that inspired that? :D
It just crossed my mind that smaller crystals growing inside the hull could also be a feasible design, basically like a geode or something in that direction, just with more metal mixed in.
