Mediafire download links itself do contain nothing but what content you demanded, but the side appear to have a lax advertisement policy. I guess the adds on the site disguise themselves as download links and lead to malware stuff? Personally, i wouldn't know, for me the site looks like this, thanks to Addblock Plus for Firefox. I recommend you start using that if you have a lot of trouble with web adds.
Ultimately what or what not you click at is your own personal responsibility. If you know a feasible alternative to Mediafire that features unlimited bandwidth for free then I'm all ears.

As Sleeper said. Mediafire by itself is not a malware site, and adblocker / noscript plugins are highly recommended for a variety of reasons when browsing.firsTraveler wrote:Please stop posting links to the MediaFire maleware site.
