When I said the next patch should have Defense I drones shooting flak, I got my information from here: https://getsatisfaction.com/ftlgame/top ... d_flak_gun

It appears it wasn't included in the recent 1.5.12 beta patch that just went up. :(

Vulcan is great and what a rare weapon should be. Flashy, powerful game changer... but not always desirable.
Making something pedestrian but highly efficient like the Burst Laser 2 rare doesn't fit nearly as well.
I don't have a problem with the Flak weapons... their power doesn't seem over the top considering the clumsiness.

Let's all be thankful the Flagship doesn't have a flak gun in any stage.
