Im not sure if its defined as a bug but there's an explotable flaw in the game.

If you attack an unmanned rebel ship and disable its systems using a weapon that only damages systems eg(breach bombs) Then you can keep your gunner firing Ion weapons until he levels up to the max and you end up with a super effective weapons officer without any fighting.

Mabye there should be a max exp gain per battle? Or just keep wasting energy on target practice.
