FTL can not display Chinese correctly

Hello,
i am making a Chinese mod about FTL but FTL can't display Chinese correctly



i have tired to change the font of the game(like Yahei,Arival MS etc...)but that doesn't work
so where is the problem and how to solve it?

FTL only accepts... I think it's Unicode or ASCII characters. Chinese symbols fall outside of that, so it's not exactly possible (sorry!)

But someone did it in the older version (in Simplified Chinese)

You have to replace the font files so that they have the characters required to display Chinese -- but I guess that's what you've tried to do in the first place.
I know Vhati has managed to add Spanish accents to FTL's fonts in the spanish translation thread, so maybe there's something to learn there...
