[SHIP] [WIP] Ghost Ship

Hey guys, DrMrBlueX here. So I made a fighter today (http://www.ftlgame.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 024#p69024, check it out :D) and so now I have a general idea of how to make a ship.

However, this is a lot different. This time I will be taking pieces and parts of existing ships to compile a ship of my own, and this one specifically is a ghost ship.

When looking through the options for the crew, I and most likely you as well stumble upon Ghost crew. After giving another WIP project (Just a playable federation bomber, idk if there already is 1 or not) 2 ghost crew members, I found that they are 2 humans, with no different traits, but on the ship appear as transparent.

I have not tested battling with them, as in whether enemies can detect them or hurt them, or even if the ghosts can attack themselves.

I am planning to create a transparent ghostly looking ship, a ship that was destroyed in battle.
They come back to take revenge on the Rebel fleet, most likely meaning that this will be a federation ship of some sort.

EDIT:
I have results.

- 50 health
- Regular human stats otherwise
- Can be targeted
- Can deal damage
- Can man stations, and actually count
- Not 100% sure but the pilot was already half way leveled after traveling 3 sectors or something, so maybe they have faster leveling.

Seems like they will function. The challenge will be that they have 50 health, so that's their payment for being resurrected. Works out great :D

Anyway, I will be working on the actual ship now.

Multiple ships have used ghosts, CE has them, but this will probably be fun.

Yeah I didn't expect this to be the first of its kind.

Anyway I have an update on what it might look like:

So I decided that there is a type B and a type A.

The ship's name is Thunder, given because of its Ion weapons.

Then Type B will bring in a more torn and roughed up ghostly looking version of the ship.

I'm not sure how to utilize this but I think it would be REALLY cool if the Type B ship could have custom ghostly weapons.
Idea with the weapons:
- Ghostly Laser -
Power Req. 2
Damage per bullet: 1
Shields pierced: 1
Shots per charge: 2

Fires 2 ghostly lasers capable of piercing through 1 layer of shield.

- Ghostly Beam -
Power Req. 3
Ion Damage: 1
System Damage: 1
Shields pierced: 1
Capable of hitting 2 rooms.

Fires a ghostly beam dealing 1 system damage and at the same time dealing Ion damage as well. Capable of piercing 1 layer of shield.

- Ghostly Missiles -
Power Req. 3
System Damage: 2
Hull Damage: 1
Shields pierced: 5
Fire Chance: Low
Shots per charge: 1
Missiles used: 1

Fires a ghostly missile that pierces shields, causes 2 system damage, and 1 hull damage.

Of course none of this is official yet, so there is still work to be done. I spent hours making the image above so hopefully I won't have to make too many changes.
Looking at it though... gives me second thoughts.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Yeah I know, just giving direct stats for it.

Unless told otherwise. It isn't hardcoded for missiles to pierce.

However, I don't think that is what you are talking about when you say that, because you should already know that.
