Go have fun with your OP Ship.

I honestly don't get why this stuff exists.DatRandomPanda wrote:This is an op ship meant to for the sol purpose of playing around in the game. This is not balanced, so if you don't like things that aren't balanced then leave. You start off with every system maxed out with 200 power. You also have 10000000 drone parts and 10000000 missiles. Your weapons are the Boss Laser, the Boss Missile, the Boss Beam, and the Heavy Ion. (The weapons are called boss because they are the weapons the final boss has, FYI.) Your drones are the Anti-Ship missile Drone I, Anti-Ship Drone Mark II, Defense Drone Mark II and the Boarding Drone. Your augments are the Zoltan Shield, Stealth Weapons, and Slug Repair Gel. Your starting crew is one human, one engi, one mantis, one zoltan, and one crystal. This ship takes the spot of the first stealth cruiser. It has the same layout as the ship it takes over, but I added some more doors for convenience.

Modders have to learn somewhere, and they can't always distinguish between mods you create as a learning process, and mods that are actually worth sharing / distributing. And yes, as much as it defeats the purpose of the game, a few people just want to faceroll their keyboard and win.English Narwhal wrote:I honestly don't get why this stuff exists.
No offense, but it's not a unique ship, it's just you adding a load of OP stuff to a ship.
The fact that you felt the need to add this tells me you already know who's going to be looking at your mod, and that it isn't likely to suit them.DatRandomPanda wrote:This is not balanced, so if you don't like things that aren't balanced then leave.
Yeah, I was a mite cranky. Sorry!Kieve wrote:Modders have to learn somewhere, and they can't always distinguish between mods you create as a learning process, and mods that are actually worth sharing / distributing. @DatRandomPanda: This is pretty much the kind of response you can expect for an "OP Ship" by the way. It shows no level of thought, effort, or skill, and is typical of "learning" mods. There's nothing wrong with learning how to mod for FTL, but it's important to know the difference between those you create for yourself to learn the process, and mods which are actually worth your time distributing.
As an example: 200 power is worthless, because even if you hacked the systems to their absolute maximum values, you will never use that much power - even in a nebula ion storm where said power is cut in half. 10 million drones / missiles? Again, you're entering in numbers on the heavy side of absurd.![]()
It's not my place to tell modders what they can and can't create, but it is important to know your audience - while I've said in the past (and it holds true) that you should mod for yourself first, you do need to keep in mind who you're posting a mod for.The fact that you felt the need to add this tells me you already know who's going to be looking at your mod, and that it isn't likely to suit them.DatRandomPanda wrote:This is not balanced, so if you don't like things that aren't balanced then leave.
If you didn't say it, someone else would have, eventually.English Narwhal wrote:Yeah, I was a mite cranky. Sorry!
Your right maybe somethings I should just keep to myself.Kieve wrote:Modders have to learn somewhere, and they can't always distinguish between mods you create as a learning process, and mods that are actually worth sharing / distributing. I don't want to discourage you from modding, Panda.DatRandomPanda wrote:Your right maybe somethings I should just keep to myself.
