Mod Idea! Combine Infinite Space and Captains Edition.

See, I love the endlessness of Infinite Space, but really enjoy the content and constant typos that are added with Captains Edition. So, why don't we combine them? I mean, the contents already there, and the events can be edited to accommodate both mods. It would be, by far, the best mod out there. It might be a big ask, and I know all of the work you guys will have to do when Captains Edition comes out, but all of this is only hypothetical. Cheers.

Because of all the issues between the two mods, this would be very difficult probably. It would be amazing though.

Why don't you load them both in SSM? I tried that once. Didn't have many problems with it.

I've tried that and it makes some events never happen and creates some weird text glitches where it displays as random ascii characters. Oh, and it makes every sector after the first one a crystal sector, so if you wanna unlock the crystal ship easy, just run both mods at the same time.

Infinite Space does that all by itself. Check this post for a potential fix for that. I made an unofficial patch that should fix most of those.

edit: I haven't looked at Captain's Edition, so I don't know if any of the events there can do it. It's caused by lines of text that are too long.

Sorry if this spoils it for you but, effective with CE 1.09 99% of the typos are corrected. :ugeek:
