If you won frequently you'd hardly have any reason to keep playing now would you?
Half the challenge of this game is that you have to consistently advance pretty far to ever unlock the extra ships. Pretty much the only thing that gives it any replayability. Make the game easy and suddenly you have a complete collection, with no reason to continue.
May I strongly suggest experiencing this game's prececessors, Rogue and Nethack, in which even if you spoiled heavily and played perfectly, it still took the right stroke of luck to ever win.
I can't believe I spent money on this!

Then is sabotages your moves so it is impossible to continue. I have played for over 200 hours and this is the case every time. The game will not let you find a store for repairs for twelve to fifteen straight moves....anyway, I am just grateful I didn't spend that much on it.

Pretty sure just a troll guys. If not, all I say is anything you spend 200 hours on willingly is something you enjoyed and would be money well spen even if 100 bucks, let alone the cheap price.

Level 2 doors is the first upgrade i get in every game. I don't feel safe until i have that at least. Level 3 doors is more situational.
O2 upgrades can come in handy as pointed out in this thread, but i generally don't upgrade O2 unless i need to.
LOL!! Disregard!! I posted in the wrong thread!!
