I feel bad doing this...mod request

Hello

As I said before, I truly don't like doing this, but I just am bad with coding (can't learn it) and I want a new weapon mod.
Kinetic Weapons!
If someone else has done this then let me know
My idea is that the early Federation had been using these weapons, but encountered the Zoltan with shields, which simply deflected non-high powered kinetics, so lasers and ions were created to drain shields and cause damage.
Different weapon ideas
-Auto-cannons: fires many shots (4) with high breach chance and medium damage (2?) with a decent recharge
Power use=2
-Assault-cannons: fires a huge volley (8 unless there is a max) with low breach and 1 damage. fast recharge
Power use=2
-Astro-howitzer: fires one shell with high breach chance, high fire chance, and 4 damage, use missile, slow moving, and pierces 2 levels of shielding~ Power use=4
-Railgun: One shot that has high breach chance and pierces all shields uses a missile, and one damage
Power use=3

All yellow colored ;)

That's all I have for now, and thanks for any feedback and whoever might be interested in creating this.
Also, is this even possible?

EDIT: I just realized it might not even be possible to have weapons do no shield damage, does anyone know if it is?

Sounds a tad bit OP to me. But if someone releases the railgun that doesn't take missiles but takes like... 4-6 energy that'd be rad. Balance is the key to the fun, my main man. Get a shizzy dual laser or something to knock those shields down, then use your beams.

Well not to your specifics. but someone was already making an auto cannon mod.
There is an auto cannon already in the "Foundation of the Federation" overhaul (never finished, just ship replacer) mod. Just load the ship master and that's it, the weapons are on there, how ever it may give bugger health UI and such and replace all the achievement images and such and descriptions but you don't need to worry about that if you know how to play FTL already.

Also why the hell does the Federation need weapons to take out Zoltan shields?... the Zoltans are...
A) Part of the Federation. (Is if you did the zoltan quest, also they were part of the federation, there not hostile)
B) There friendly as hell.... maybe to tied up with there laws but they are friendly. The only time you will see a Zoltan shield outside of Zoltan ships is on the Rebel Flagship.

I will in the future make MechWarrior/ Battletech weapons in game.
This includes...

(Autocannon, smaller number = lower damage, faster fire rate, bigger number = bigger damage, lower fire rate)
AC/2, AC/5, AC/10, AC/20

(Ultra Autocannon, similar to AC's but fire twice)
UAC/2, UAC/5, UAC/10, UAC/20

(Scatter rounds and Explosive slugs, similar to AC's)
LB-X/2, LB-X/5, LB-X/10, LB-X/20.

(Self Explanatory)
Light Gauss Rifle, Gauss Rifle, Heavy Gauss Rifle.

(Self Explanatory)
Machine Gun, Machine Gun Array, Light Machine Gun Array, Heavy Machine Gun Array.

Those are all the ballistics more or less in the BT lore, generically.
There also missiles and lasers but won't go to much into them here.

this is a really late term goal of mine keep in mind in ftl modding so don't expect it soon.

I was just giving a scenario for reasoning behind the weapons and I meant regular shields not Zoltan shields (meaning they have always had better shielding systems, creating the first shields while everyone used plating)
And where is the download for the ships/weapons in Foundation of the Federation? That mod died a while ago right?

yes but the mod still works. and it's technically on hold, not dead.
