errr, please keep it on topic, auto-cannon discussion in the auto-cannon thread.

My objective is to get stuff into captains edition. that's basically the community project.

Nope, not really. The only 'community project' on the forums so far is the Christmas tree of death.
Captains Edition is just a mod done by Sleeper Service, He doesn't have people working for him, all he does is take some ship hulls and other stuff similar to that he thinks will fit the purpose of his mod.

Oh and now that I got thinking there is another community project that is an overhaul mod that changes ftl into an ocean pirate game.

And my mod "FTL: Engi Brigade" is open to any help.

Autocannon is not really a weapon Sleeper will do I assume, it will be 'out of date' and quite a few people do not like the idea of ballistics in general in FTL.

Plasma... eeeeh. pretty much when you 'submit' a weapon to some other mod and 'accepted', it will be changed, weapon stats can be completely swapped out and some editing to the original image.

anywho, back to Autocannons, What race will use auto cannons if any mainly?.... rebels will no way touch it, nor will zoltans and engi. that leaves you with rock, mantis, pirates, auto (doubt auto as well) and obviously not crystal.... so your stuck with a few... Federation is the only idea that comes to mind.

Pirates like guns, rock like throwing objects at things, federation like old-school weapons.......
