If you want to use Better Planets and Backgrounds 1.3.1 than it needs to be loaded before CE.

Oh, one thing though: Expanded Enemy Window shall be loaded after CE and sMPK, or is it irrelevant?

Theoretically, it should be irrelevant.Mr. Mister wrote:Oh, one thing though: Expanded Enemy Window shall be loaded after CE and sMPK, or is it irrelevant?

Re: FTL Captain's Edition 1.069
The "Light Drones" start beacon tip does the too-long wiggly thinguie.
EDIT: I don't know if anything besides changing the text can be done, but the "...in hopes the planetary artillery finishes you off" escape message from at least the "threat level 25" rock event still shows up if you used the zoltan shields blue option and the artillery gets no lock-on.
Further EDIT: See it for yourself (right side of the picture):

(BTW, I was stupid enough to lose not one, nor two, but FOUR fucking rockmen on that run due to various reasons, all errors on my part (no event losses)).
Also, what's the Flasgship's weapons room for?
And this forum needs a [THUMBS] tag for automatically doing thumbnails.

Look good I guess.
Oh no, yeah I did not see that coming, although I could have.
Will take care of it...

For enabling it to target you with artillery. Can you confirm that it actually does that in phase two and three?Mr. Mister wrote:Also, what's the Flasgship's weapons room for?

I remember the battle event saying so, but since I had Zoltan shields, I don't remember very well.Sleeper Service wrote:For enabling it to target you with artillery. Can you confirm that it actually does that in phase two and three?Mr. Mister wrote:Also, what's the Flasgship's weapons room for?
The gunner was manning it though, so at least it had one (invisible) weapon active.
EDIT: BTW, just as I was thinking "Mmmm, CE needs another Engi ship design", (as currently there are only three diffrerent Engi hulls (IIRC): the vanilla one, the rusty one used on that event, and the station (which is bananas)), I stumbled upon crummy's Engi Shortbread.

It could make do as a civilian, non-cargo model for player piracy and/or quest giving events, don't you think? It would need another texture though, as the current one is simply too good (in FTL Remastered pixel art quality), and stands out too much.
You could also pierce a donut hole through the middle on that hatch.
This just got me thinking... wouldn't it be funny if that Rock space encounter with a Rockmen-hunting Mantis ship, which is said to be "...decorated with Rockmen body parts around the hull..." actually had that? I know you can, sleepy.
And you gotta involucrate the asteroid station in a quest, for freakin's sake, as I was a bit disappointed when I captured it and simply got scrap. Something so unique and beautiful deserves a quest on the same level as the Crystal Pod.

Hey Sleeper -
Fantastic mod! I've just about played out vanilla FTL, so I very much appreciate your work at expanding it.
However, the number of typos, spelling mistakes, and grammar errors really detracts from the experience for me - makes it seem very rough around the edges. Would you like a hand in editing your text? If so, what would be the best way for me to go about doing this - edit the xml files of the latest version and send them to you?
Again, thanks for the wonderful mod. I'd just like to contribute to making it a bit more polished.

Re: FTL Captain's Edition 1.069
Global spellchecking of the mod is planned to happen in some kind of cloud environment, so that many people can do it together simultaneously and I don't have to put the corrected texts back into the mod manually (which is the most boring thing ever).
I checked github for that purpose, but that thing seems to be unavailable for linux users. Checked some Ubuntu git apps, but they did not work as well. Does anyone know a preferable browser based thing that offers revision control but does not require a client? Do people actually need the client for github to be able to edit the the files in the cloud?
If not someone else could upload the mod and give me editing permission I guess...
Another (makeshift) solution could be sharing a version of the files on drop-box available for everyone. But then people would have to enforce some rigid "rename your file while you are working on it" discipline to ensure that nothing is overwritten.
