[SUGGESTION] Please add a no-teleportation boarding mod!

I can't stand the cheaty idea of teleportation. If anyone can mod, could they create a mod in which the teleportation system is replaced by something else? Like... boarding pods... and you start out with 20 or so... you select where to breach/click on an entrance door to go inside. :) please!

Impossible within the coding of the game. While there are script-event triggers capable of imposing boarders on your ship, there are none for creating friendly crew on an enemy vessel. And there is no other way besides teleportation to do so. Not to mention, there would be no way to recover that same crew (plus, keep in mind that any events of that nature would only manage a brute-force "create / destroy" method if they were even possible at all, meaning skill levels in combat would be nonexistent, and lost with the crews' next deployment.

If you want to use boarding, your options are teleporter or boarding drone. There is nothing else that can be done at this time.

Boarding drone, that's your only option if you want boarding with no teleportation.
This has way to much hard codding to do anything, we can't even make a controllable reskin of the boarding drone so it seems like he's your crew boarding.

I'm pretty sure by the time we figure out superluminal travel, we'll have teleportation figured out as well. They've already done it in quantum experiments in labs, it's only a matter of time before we can do it on a much larger scale.

I'm pretty sure it's easier to move a man-sized object instantly across a distance of several hundred kilometers than it is to move a starship-sized object instantly across a distance of several hundred parsecs. But you know, you're entitled to your selective suspension of disbelief. :lol:
