I felt it had too much damage potential, even compared to the Vindicator beam - triple 2-bar ionizing with added 2 system/hull damage isn't something most ships will be capable of withstanding. However, I also liked it the way it was, so I added the 150 scrap requirement.
I recently tried this out, however I get a problem. On most of the ships except the rebel elite fighter (or whatver it's called), the weapons look like basic lasers but with no name. When I go in-game, it has a green streak going up. If I attempt to fire the weapons, the game crashes!

Did you download Captain's Edition and patch it in before TFSB?

agigabyte's right - for all I care, you can use the assets I created. (all the ship graphics except the Sovereign, and the IHLC I made for the Dominator)
It's not like they were that hard to make, anyway...
