Artillery Beam help

So my Dynalium mod uses the Artillery Beam. I am unable to figure out how to make the beam fire from the tip of the ship instead of some point to the ship's left, using Superluminal. Picture included. Any advice is welcome!

I just checked on my AutoScout (the only ship I've ever put an artillery beam on, and I had the exact problem you have) and here's what I found. The weapon must be 5th. Even if you only have 3 weapons, you must put a dummy 4th gun in there and then put a 5th one as well, and that 5th one will be the beam.

My 5th weapon, when I double click it with the select tool, reads as:
Mount Number: 5 (This is one of the only two things I think is important)
Attached to Gib: 0 (i have no gibs so I guess that's why it's 0)
Mirrored, Rotated, and Powered are all checked (I don't know how important these are)
Direction is NONE (I think this may also be important)

All I can tell you is, with my gun set up this way it works.
