The font in some of the boxes is blurry and hard to read. The problem apprears e.g. in the achievements box in the hangar and in the oxygen box in the battle screen. The suggested solution for the problem is not working anymore as there isn't any settings.ini in the main folder or any other game folder in the recent version of FTL. Is there some other config file where I could add the line "swapTexture=1" ?
The latest Vista/Win7 version for my ATI Xpress 1100 I could find is catalyst v10.2. The computer is kinda old, but the game runs smooth besides the small font problem.
Can you try running the game as an admin to see if it generates a settings.ini file? You could also just create a fresh text file, rename it to settings.ini, and add that line on its own in the file... the game should load that up no problem.

The hint with the admin settings did the job and genereated the settings.ini. I added that specific line and everything and all the fonts in the game looks much smoother now.
