Game crash while clicking START

Hi guys!

I bought FTL a few days ago on the official site and I redeemed it on Steam. After installation I played it for couple of hours and then I wanted to install Infinite Space mod. That's where my problem starts.

After successful installation I started the game, I choose my ship and clicked START... game just crashed without any prompt. Here are two last crashlogs:

I have 7 more crashlogs, if you want them just tell.

Now, my OS is Windows 7 Ultimate x64, graphics card is Club HD7850 2gb, CPU FX 4130.
I tried installing last version of catalyst drivers and it's still not working.

I have no idea what's going on... I haven't tried any other mod yet but I will. If someone got the similar problem and solved it please help me, cuz I want to play this awesome game with Infinite Space

Hi Khallister!

The mods are community created and managed. Even the tools for making/installing them are thanks to the awesome community. So I'm in the dark when it comes to any problems with mod installation The mod forum is a much better place for this kind of tech support.

I took a brief glance at the Infinite Space thread and it seems like others are having this problem (http://www.ftlgame.com/forum/viewtopic. ... &start=720). Perhaps the mod creator has not released a version that's compatible with the most up to date version of FTL. Someone in that thread says you can use the Infinite Space that doesn't come with HQ backgrounds and it should work?

It worked! I used Infinite Space without HQ Backgrounds and it's running great!

Thanks for help, now I can spend my whole night playing FTL!
